8/9/2023 0 Comments Clearing cookies on ipad![]() Once you get the hang of it, it's easy to keep your cookie cache clean. I usually delete the random entries like and keep ones like that may have login information. You can swipe to delete each entry or click "Remove All Website Data" to remove all of them at once. These files contain information about your browsing activities and preferences. Tap Clear to confirm you want to delete this information. Tap Clear History and Website Data to delete all records of the websites you've been to on the iPad and all website data (cookies) collected. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your iPad by websites you visit. Scroll down the menu in the left panel and choose Safari to display Safari's settings. This next screen on your iPad reveals all the cookies that are stored on your iPad, as shown in the screenshot above. Why Clearing Cookies is Important on an iPad. Note: This will not remove any site data or logins. Then, on the next screen, tap "Website Data" to view all your cookies. Swipe right on the website name you want to remove from your history and tap Delete. Instead of tapping on "Clear Cookies and Data" like we did earlier, users can tap on the "Advanced" option at the bottom. Once you confirm, all the cookies will be deleted. You may get a message asking if you’re sure you want to delete all the cookies. Now click the Remove All button, and click Done. Click Privacy, then select Manage Website Data. Similar to removing all cookies, iPad owners can open Settings and tap on Safari, as shown above. Go to your Safari browser on your Mac, and select Preferences. While you cant automatically clear an iPads cache, you can. In this scenario, Apple has also made it possible to remove cookies on an individual basis. Tap Clear Cookies and Data under the Privacy section followed by Clear. Some iPad users, though, may prefer to keep select cookies since they store login credentials and other information that speeds up browsing. If you are prepared to delete all your cookies, then hit clear and they will be removed all at once. iOS will also close all open tabs in Safari during this removal process. Tap on this "Clear Cookies and Data" option and you will receive a warning that you are clearing your cookie data, as shown above. Tap on Safari and, in the middle of the screen, you should see an option to "Clear Cookies and Data." To remove all your cookies in one fell swoop, you can open Settings on your iPad and scroll down to Safari in the left hand column, as shown above. Thankfully, Apple has made it easy to remove them from your iPad either all at once or one at a time. Cookies are not harmful, but they do build up over time and can slow browser performance. ![]() After a short time, you will accrue a long list of cookies, placed there by websites that want to save your login preferences or track the pages you view on their site. If you are like me, you open your iPad's web browser several times day, either by launching mobile Safari directly or by clicking a link in a third-party app. ![]()
